The Fit Guide: How to Measure for an Oversized Silhouette

The Fit Guide: How to Measure for an Oversized Silhouette

Oversized does not mean shapeless. At MUARACHA, every piece is cut with intention - a controlled oversized silhouette that balances weight, proportion and ease. The result is a garment that looks relaxed without looking sloppy.

But getting the right fit starts before you click add to cart. Here is how to measure yourself, how our sizing works, and what to expect when your piece arrives.

What You Will Need

A measuring tape. A flat surface. About two minutes.

If you do not have a measuring tape, a piece of string and a ruler work just as well. Measure over a thin t-shirt, not over a hoodie or jacket, for the most accurate result.

Three Measurements That Matter

Chest. Run the tape under your arms, across the fullest part of your chest and across your shoulder blades. Keep the tape snug but not tight. This is your chest circumference.

Shoulders. Measure from the tip of one shoulder to the other, across the back. The shoulder tip is where your arm meets your shoulder - the bony point.

Length. Measure from the highest point of your shoulder down to where you want the hem to fall. For an oversized fit, that is usually around mid-hip.

How MUARACHA Sizing Works

Our tees are designed with a controlled oversized fit. This means: more room in the chest and shoulders than a standard tee, a relaxed body that does not cling, and sleeves that sit slightly lower on the arm.

The size chart on each product page shows exact garment measurements in both inches and centimetres. Compare these to your body measurements to find your size.

As a general rule: choose your regular size for the intended relaxed MUARACHA fit. If you prefer a cleaner look, size down. If you want maximum room, size up.

Final Advice

If you are between two sizes, consider how you want the tee to sit. Between sizes and prefer a cleaner look? Go smaller. Between sizes and want the full oversized effect? Go larger.

Our fit is designed to be forgiving. The heavyweight cotton holds its shape, so the garment will not stretch out or lose its structure over time.
